FAQ of Overprinted Carrier Bags

Delivery is included in the price. Once printing is completed, you will receive your bags the next working day.

Please email us, or telephone, if you think something is wrong with your order. If there is a defect, within the quality standards described below, we are here to put it right. Please note that unlike our Stockbags, we will not take overprinted carrier bags back if you simply do not like what you have ordered. It is therefore vital to you that you check your Proof carefully, as you will not be credited for errors (which can happen) if approved by you.

Normally 7-10 working days from Proof Approval. If a particular delivery time is very important to you, e.g. a set date for an exhibition, then you must tell us, in the space provided, when you order. Delivery for a particular date is not "of the essence" unless we are told in advance and agree to a date in writing.

We will proof the design you send us, so only send us the design you want proofed. Please see Proof.

Ideally, a high resolution PDF or an EPS file. We can also use a Jpeg, or a Word.doc. We cannot use tone work or photographs. Do not include any item you do not want printed.

This is cost of Proof, production of film, and silk screen. We charge £35.00 for any new design or size. Repeat orders are not charged. We will advise any extra charge if your artwork requires a lot of studio time to get to Proof and film stage.

When you order online you can choose to pay by Debit or Credit Card, Use your Account, Apply for an Account (Orders over £50), or request an Invoice in Advance and pay prior to overprinting.

This is on our Worldpay secure site. We will draw on your payment the day following your overprint order. If you do not approve your Proof we will credit your payment back, less the £35.00 proof cost.

If you have an Account with Anglo, click on the account button and we will post you an Invoice payable net 30 days from Invoice date.

For Orders over £50, you can apply for a credit account online. Credit approval time can be from immediate (Companies with long and good payments history) to 3 days (for Companies and Individuals with less trading history) We will not action your order until the Account is established. So if you are in a hurry, pay by credit card, and apply for an Account later some that you are set up for your re-order.

Its suits some organisations to pay by Pro Forma, ie payment in advance. If this suits you then press the appropriate button and we will send you a Pro Forma. A VAT Invoice/Receipt will be posted on receipt of your Payment.

Can you overprint print tones or process print, i.e. like a full colour photograph? Sorry, no, we cannot silk screen half tones, please browse our Branding: Printing to Order Section.

Can you overprint more than 2 ink colours? Sorry, no, not at the moment. Please browse our Branding: Printing to Order Section.

We screen print solid colours, up to two colours, we have a standard colour range, will mix ink to order, and will follow your clear instructions regarding image size and position within the stated overprint area. If you require something more than that, please contact our Branded Team, we have been successfully producing bespoke printed carrier bag orders for over 20 years. We will send a proof to you as a PDF Document. It will be based on the design you send us, the design in the centre of the carrier bag, sized to fit the print area of the bag you have ordered. If you have asked for a particular image size, and positioning within the print area, it will be shown on the proof. It is vital that you check the Proof very carefully, for content and positioning, you will be responsible for any errors (which can and do happen) if approved by you. We will not proceed to print before we have your emailed OK of the Poof.

Dark carrier bag background colours will tint the overprint ink colour. So if any tinting is entirely unacceptable to you, order your overprint on white or a light base colour. Having said that, we do successfully print combinations such as white on black, and the metallic colours gold and silver cover well on dark colours.

We use our Anglo Stockbags for overprinting and we believe you will find them strong and well finished. If in doubt, please email for a Stockbags sample.

What sort of Print Quality can I expect? The ready made stock carrier bags, complete with folds, and handles fitted, are silk screened. This isn't ideal because we don't have a flat surface to print on, and if you look closely you will see some feathering on the edge of the ink, produced by the mesh of the silk screen. For many people the print quality is entirely adequate for Retail or Promotional use. However, if you want top quality print, you need to speak with our Branded colleagues. They will be printing using Offset Litho print on flat sheet and then making the bags up. That dictates, normally, a minimum order of 1,000. The unit price will be lower, and the world is your oyster regarding print area and quality. Please browse our Branding: Printing to Order Section.

Unlike some competitors we could name, if the bags are shown as available, surprise, surprise, that means we have them in stock, and they are available for overprinting. We don't allow our website to over represent us, and we won't tell you porky pies. We welcome visitors to our premises at Worthing, but please phone first, we get busy!

Prices shown are plus VAT. Credit Card Customers will have their VAT Invoice/Receipt posted the day following their Order. Account Customers will have their VAT Invoice posted following despatch of Overprints. Pro Forma customers will have their VAT Invoice/Receipt posted on receipt of Payment.
